Brian Flores has already hired several former members of the New England Patriots' coaching staff to join him on his inaugural Miami Dolphins staff, and he apparently isn't done yet.

Flores is adding Mike Judge as a defensive quality control coach, per Charean Williams of ProFootballTalk.com.

Judge has spent the spent the past 11 years as an assistant coach at Navy, where he coached the fullbacks. But he, like many others Flores has hired, has a Patriots background. He got his coaching start as a quality control coach in New England in 2005, the same time Flores was getting his start in the organization.

Before joining Navy, Judge had been the wide receivers coach at Harvard. Flores also brought former Patriots receivers coach Chad O'Shea with him to be his offensive coordinator in Miami. He also poached away the Patriots' cornerbacks coach Josh Boyer to be his passing game coordinator on defense. The two staffs will have a ton of familiarity with one another, which will be very interesting since the teams play each other twice a year.

On a staff of 21 Dolphins coaches, eight of them have either coached or played in New England, according to Darren Hartwell of NBC Sports Boston.

Hartwell also adds that Judge was an intern on Bill Belichick's staff in the early 2000s. Flores is clearly trying to recreate some of the Patriots' magic, a strategy which many of the former Belichick disciples who have become head coaches have employed to varying degrees of success.
