Veteran running back Duke Johnson made plenty of fantasy football managers thump their chests and shed tears of joy when he exploded for 107 rushing yards and a couple of touchdowns on 22 carries in the Miami Dolphins' 31-24 home win over the New York Jets in Week 15.

Not only that, but Johnson also impressed the Dolphins so much with his performance that they inked him to the team's active roster, according to his agent (h/t Adam Schefter of ESPN).

One day after running for 102 yards and two touchdowns, RB Duke Johnson is being signed to the Miami Dolphins’ active roster, per his agent @DrewJRosenhaus.

Johnson led the Dolphins on the ground for the Jets game, with Myles Gaskin seemingly not feeling a hundred percent after getting activated from the COVID-19 list. The former Miami Hurricanes star simply capitalized on the opportunity on his way to recording the first 100-yard rushing yard game of his career. Overall, the Dolphins recorded 183 rushing yards on 42 carries against the Jets' faulty defense.

By signing Johnson to the active roster, it appears that the Dolphins have the intention of giving him the RB1 role in Miami.

Miami is now on a six-game win streak, and it is hoping that the momentum of that undefeated stretch will help them get past the New Orleans Saints in Week 16 on the road.
