Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick had some fun talking about Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew's elaborate mustache.

Fitzpatrick was asked to compare his beard to Minshew's own facial hair, saying he prefers to have full growth:

“The mustaches versus the beard…I think the beard is cooler,” the Dolphins gunslinger said, via Josh Tolentino of The Athletic. “Guys that grow mustaches have patchy sides.”

Regardless of preference, the two quarterbacks certainly have some of the more notable looks in the sport. The long beard at least seems to suit the grizzled veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick quite well in his 16th year.

Fitzpatrick's year got off to a rough start after the 37-year-old threw three interceptions in a loss to the New England Patriots in Week 1. However, he bounced back in Week 2, nearly leading the Dolphins to a comeback win over the Buffalo Bills after throwing for 328 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Meanwhile, “Minshew Mania” has only grown more rampant in Jacksonville. The Jaguars were seen as an afterthought heading into the season. After all, the Jags traded away stars like Calais Campbell, Yannick Ngakoue and A.J. Bouye while cutting ties with running back Leonard Fournette. It was clear Jacksonville was committing to a full rebuild.

Yet, Minshew led the Jags to an improbable victory over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1, then narrowly missed another upset over the Tennessee Titans in Week 2. Minshew has completed over 75 percent of his pass attempts and is averaging close to eight yards gained per pass attempt.

The veteran and the youngster will duke it out as the Dolphins and Jaguars prepare to face off on Thursday.
