Valve introduces the Supporters Clubs as way for fans to support Dota 2 pro teams for The International 10
Dota 2 fans now have a new way to support their favorite professional teams. Introducing the Supporters Clubs, Valve introduces team badges, emoticons, sprays, and custom chat wheels specific to teams. The feature comes in three tiers: Bronze ($2), Silver ($10), and Gold ($20). All of the features will remain in players' inventories until the end of TI10. Accordingly, future Supporters Clubs perks will remain until the end of their relevant Dota 2 Majors.
Purchasing the tiered packages from the Supporters Clubs will directly support the teams. 50% of all proceeds will go straight to the teams' bank accounts. Indirectly, it'll show off your pride as a fan in-game, intimidating your opponents because they're going up against a super fan. You can find the Supporters Clubs items under the Watch Tab in-game, under DPC, where it will have its own column. Currently, Supporters Clubs features 17 Dota 2 pro teams, with future teams added as soon as their content becomes ready. According to Valve, future teams may also appear in the Supporters Clubs without higher tiers if high-quality content won't be available.
