When news broke that Rush was not only booked for Ring of Honor‘s Death Before Dishonor but was slated to take on his brother Dragon Lee in a fittingly titled “Battle of Brothers,” it caused more than a few fans to reach out to AEW owner Tony Khan to thank him personally.

You see, not only are the duo incredibly talented in their own right, with Rush specifically showing out exceptionally during his early run in AEW, but the duo used to be factionmates in Los Ingobernables both in Ring of Honor and in CMLL, where they have shared the ring on 71 occasions. And yet, despite a decade of in-ring action together, the duo have only wrestled against each other on six occasions, with the closest thing to a singles bout coming on March 17th, 2019, when Lee beat his brother and, um, Austin Theory to secure the MLA Heavyweight Championship off of Rush.

No, at Death Before Dishonor, the score will officially become 1-0 – unless something goofy happens – with one of the two brothers getting the forever bragging rights as notching the first win in their sibling rivalry. It'll be a night to remember for fans of ROH, CMLL, NJPW, and other promotions the world over, and may just go down as a sleeper match of the year candidate, as FTR's inter-tag team match was during the Owen Hart Tournament. But what if I were to tell you that the fun doesn't have to end when the ROH World Championship is decided? No, what if Rush, after a win or loss, extends a hand to his brother and offers him a spot in La Faccion Ingobernable, keeping the party going strong in AEW indefinitely?

Sounds like a good idea to me.

Dragon Lee is the perfect third member of AEW's La Faccion Ingobernable.

Who are La Faccion Ingobernable currently feuding with in AEW? The Lucha Brothers: Rey Fenix and Penta Oscuro.

On paper, this is a perfect pairing, as the two teams have wrestled many times before in promotions across the world, but what happens when PAC, the third member of Death Triangle, returns to the promotion from his mini-European tour? Who will La Faccion call on to fill out trios matches? Jose the Assistant? No, for the team to really have a chance to stand up against the best of the best trios AEW has to offer, from Death Triangle to the House of Black, and even the Blackpool Combat Club, they'll need to add a third member to the team, specifically a smaller “cruiserweight” type who can fly around the ring and match up with everyone from Fenix to Buddy Matthews, Wheeler Yuta, and Nick Jackson.

Dragon Lee fits that bill.

Standing 5-foot-7, 165 pounds, Lee is a nimble, uber-athletic performer who can fly around a wrestling ring without much issue and match strength with performers well outside of his weight class thanks to his impressive strength and oversized heart. He's recorded two five-star bouts, according to The Wrestling Observer, including a match versus Bandido at PWG and an incredible match versus Will Ospreay in NJPW and his trio of matches with Kamaitachi, though not quite at the level of Okada-Omega – who he has also wrestled – are considered some of the best matches of the CMLL-NJPW talent share agreement.

If there was ever a member of the overarching Ingobernable family to bring over to AEW, it would be Dragon Lee, as his singles matches, tag team matches with Rush, and trios matches with Andrade El Idolo as well would instantly elevate the unit to new levels.
