It's been a wild time in College Football after Brian Kelly and Lincoln Riley each received massive paychecks to take new head coaching jobs in the NCAA. However, it sounds like it's not over yet, as the Oregon Ducks aim to re-sign Mario Cristobal to a big contract as well.

According to John Canzano, the “University of Oregon has a contract extension offer in front of Mario Cristobal.” The Ducks coach has done a great job of keeping the football program competitive as they continue fighting for a National Championship one day.

However, it sounds like Cristobal is about to receive a massive payday, as Canzano claims “Brian Kelly and Lincoln Riley dollars” is what is being offered. The Ducks have a little bidding war for their head coach though, as the Miami Hurricanes are interested in making a push to sign Cristobal, per John Canzano.

“I'm told by a source that Miami plans to attempt to talk with Cristobal and his agent after tonight’s championship game.”

It's a smart move by Miami as Mario Cristobal grew up in Florida. However, he has built a solid football program with the Oregon Ducks and it's hard to imagine he leaves anytime soon. Oregon seems interested in keeping their current head coach around for the long haul, as they've been one of the best football programs in the nation during his tenure.

We'll see what happens, but it's more likely Cristobal remains with the Ducks. Especially if they truly are offering big numbers as LSU and USC offered for Kelly and Riley.

“It's aggressive and in line with what we've seen this week,” John Canzano's source.

Catch the Ducks in the Pac-12 Championship Game on Friday, December 3rd. as they take on the Utah Utes at 8:00 pm. This should be a great game and the result could dictate Mario Cristobal's future in coaching.
