The moment a lot of fans from Chicago have waited for finally happened last night as Dwyane Wade made his debut for the Chicago Bulls.

The Robbins, Illinois native received a warm welcome from the good size crowd present at the United Center.

Here's the clip from the NBA's official Twitter account:

The 12-time all-star made a lot of noise this past offseason when he announced his decision to leave the team he played for the first 13 years of his career, the Miami Heat, to sign with his hometown team.

Though the Bulls lost its first preseason game against the Milwaukee Bucks, 93-91, it was overshadowed by the joy of seeing their newest star don their team's colors. Wade finished the game with six points in only 11 minutes of action.

It might take some time to get used to seeing the 2006 Finals MVP without the word “Heat” on his jersey, but for the Chicago faithful, it's a sight that they have dreamed of since 2003 ever since Wade entered the league. Now that it has turned into reality, it gives them more reason to cheer their team on.
