The Philadelphia Eagles are looking to refurbish their coaching staff after falling short the NFC playoffs last season, with Darren Sproles and Brent Celek being hired as consultants for the coming season.

According to Eagles Wire's Glenn Erby, the two former Eagles are a part of the football operations shakeup that has happened over the past couple of days. The team hopes that the fresh perspectives the two offer to the staff should help the franchise improve for the better.

Here are the list of the other employees that were brought in to help the team improve their overall effectiveness:

The Eagles also announced the additions of Tom Hunkele as the new director of sports medicine, Ted Rath as the new director of sports performance, and Jeremiah Washburn as director of player personnel/senior defensive assistant.

Darren Sproles was a running back who spent nine years with the Eagles. During his six-year stint with Philadelphia, he notched 1331 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. He was with the team when they won Super Bowl LII in 2018. His other stops included the San Diego Chargers and the New Orleans Saints.

Brent Celek had an eleven-year professional career which he spent with the Eagles. He also managed to make it to the Super Bowl during his stint with the franchise. Throughout his time with the Eagles, he had 4,998 receiving yards and 31 touchdowns to his name.

Fans hope that both of them help the Eagles finally break through and make the playoffs next year while potentially contending for a Super Bowl crown.
