The Philadelphia Eagles haven't had the season they envisioned having, putting Doug Pederson's job in limbo for next season. According to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Pederson is on the hot seat while leaders on the Eagles met with him in an attempt to save their season.

In Week 12, on Monday Night Football, the Eagles were defeated by the Seattle Seahawks, 23-17. By the looks of the score, Philadelphia put up a good fight and just lost against a team that could contend for the NFC crown this season.
However, the Eagles never seemed to be in the game and they scored a late touchdown that didn't do much to change the outlook of the game. As a result, Philadelphia has now lost three games in a row, which has ruffled the feathers of the members of the front office.
It is well-documented that the NFC East is the weakest division this season, with the New York Giants leading the division with a 4-7 record. Despite having a dismal 3-7-1 record, Philadelphia is still just a half-game behind the lead in the NFC East.

They will then finish the season with divisional battles with the Washington Football Team and the Dallas Cowboys.
There's no doubt that the Eagles are the most talented team in the NFC East this season, especially with the Cowboys dealing with a slew of injuries. Plus, the struggles of Carson Wentz have led many to wonder if Pederson, who won a Super Bowl with a backup quarterback, is still fit for the job.
If Pederson is unable to win a dysfunctional NFC East this season, he may see his time in Philadelphia come to a screeching halt.
