The Philadelphia Eagles definitely addressed the wide receiver position in the 2020 NFL Draft, casting some doubts on Alshon Jeffery's future with the team. Following the draft, Eagles GM Howie Roseman may have given a clue as to what Jeffrey's future is.

In the draft, the Eagles selected Jalen Reagor with the No. 21 pick and added John Hightower in the fifth round. Then, on the final day of the draft, Philadelphia was able to acquire Marquise Goodwin in a trade with the San Francisco 49ers.

With two new rookies coming in, the Eagles realize that they could use some pointers from some of the veterans. When speaking about the veteran pass-catchers on the team, Roseman never mentioned Jeffery's name.

Of course, Roseman could have been naming DeSean Jackson and Greg Ward off the top of his head, with no intention of leaving out Jeffery. But if he purposely left out Jeffrey's name, Roseman has changed his stance on Jeffery in a very short period of time.

Last month, Roseman came out and addressed the ‘perceived issues‘ between Carson Wentz and Jeffery. While speaking about the topic, Roseman made it clear that the Eagles want Jeffery back next season. At the same time, he knows that the veteran receiver needs to get healthy before that happens.

Regardless of Jeffery's status with the organization, Philadelphia is going to have a new-look receiving corps in 2020. Even though he's gone to bat for Jeffery this offseason, Roseman may feel a bit differently now after the draft.
