Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts made his playoff debut in the NFC wild-card clash with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which was one filled with ups and downs.

Hurts had his fair share of struggles for much of the contest against the reigning Super Bowl winners. The second-year quarterback threw a pair of costly interceptions and finished with a 60.0 passer rating, but he did redeem himself in the late stages as he guided the offense to two touchdown drives.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni sees that Hurts did not have his best game in this road playoff contest, although he opted to not point the blame at one player for the loss.

“It’s not gonna come out as his best-graded game, and it’s not gonna come out as a lot of our guys’ best-graded games,” Sirianni said in his post-game press conference.

Overall, Hurts had little help from the Eagles rush offense, which finished the regular season ranking first in rushing yards per game with a 159.7 average. Boston Scott, Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell all combined for 56 rushing yards against the Buccaneers.

An intriguing offseason now awaits the Eagles, which will include picking three times in the first-round of the 2022 NFL Draft. For a draft that is filled with promising wideouts and offensive linemen, Eagles general manager Howie Roseman could opt to go all out to bolster the offense for the former Alabama Crimson Tide star.
