The Philadelphia Eagles are still considering trade options for Carson Wentz as the franchise moves forward under new head coach Nick Sirianni. While Wentz is likely on his way out of Philadelphia, the wide receivers of the Eagles are planning on working out with Jalen Hurts soon, per John Clark of NBC Sports.

In recent weeks, the Eagles have begun listening to trade offers for Wentz, with multiple teams expressing interest in the former No. 2 overall pick. However, Philadelphia is reportedly looking for at least a first-round pick and more for Wentz.

Given that, teams are hesitant on making a deal with the Eagles as they are willing to wait until they lower their asking price for the struggling quarterback. While Philadelphia hopes to improve his trade value somehow, the current quarterback in line to replace Wentz is Hurts.

Hurts started in the final four games of his rookie season after the Eagles elected to bench Wentz amid his woes under center. Throughout his four starts, Hurts combined for 919 passing yards, five passing touchdowns, and three interceptions.

He also contributed 272 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns, providing Philadelphia's offense with a much-needed spark. With that being said, Hurts understands that he needs to improve his accuracy — as he completed only 51.8 percent of his passes in his four starts — and his chemistry with the wide receivers on the Eagles.

It remains to be seen if Philadelphia is confident in having Hurts as their starting quarterback or if they intend to target a quarterback with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Nevertheless, amid the trade fiasco involving Wentz, Hurts is going to be throwing passes to the wide receivers on the Eagles in the coming weeks.

One can sense a shifting of the ground and a new and emergent reality in Philadelphia. The Eagles are undergoing many transformations in a short time.
