The Philadelphia Eagles are continued to move through the last few months with much of the central focus on the health of Pro Bowl quarterback Carson Wentz.

There has been a great of importance on bringing back Wentz only when he is fully ready to go physically, which has put Nick Foles on the field to begin the season. Despite that, former Eagles great Ron Jaworski has voiced that it is quite evident that the 25-year-old is the long-term answer under center for the franchise, according to TMZ Sports.

“The Eagles have made it crystal clear their franchise quarterback is Carson Wentz,” Jaws tells TMZ Sports.

“He's the guy that's going to be the quarterback for the next decade.”

The manner that the Eagles are handling this situation makes it evident that the team has the expectation that he will be their franchise quarterback for the next several years. Wentz had shown much improvement in his second year prior to suffering the torn ACL and LCL injuries as he was on pace to possibly secure the NFL MVP award. He has shown that he is a special talent that has the ability to carry the offense with his arm that has led to much success in his brief time in the league.

Foles does play a major factor in the equation as he has proven that he can step in to provide stable production from under center with Wentz out. He had shown just that in the playoffs this past season putting together some impressive performance that was critical to the franchise earning their Super Bowl win.

That said, the Eagles will continue to monitor Wentz's health situation as the season rolls along with him being able to take the field at some point in time over the next few weeks. There will be a chance for him to showcase his unique ability while further solidifying his status with the organization.
