Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz has been making a name for himself for many years, rising to the top of the ranks at his position. However, Ertz is under the impression that many may not see him as the significant force he is. That only motivates him to be better.

There are certainly some big names who are giving Ertz a run for his money, such as Travis Kelce and George Kittle. Ertz has been breaking out in a big way.  He even broke the record for receptions by a tight end in a single season by catching 116 passes in 2018. To complement this insane amount of receptions, Ertz also had a career-high 1,163 yards.

Zach Ertz is the Eagles' best offensive player; there's hardly anything to suggest otherwise considering his dominance in recent years. If Ertz continues to prove why he firmly belongs in the top tier of tight ends, it won't be long until he is the league's top tight end without much doubt. The Eagles may not be the team they were just a couple of seasons ago, but Ertz has only gotten better and more valuable.

With Rob Gronkowski presumably retired, the tight end position is now wide open for a new king to be crowned. After years of dominance in which Gronkowski was always the consensus number one tight end, Ertz could be right there as the league's new best tight end.
