The Philadelphia Eagles were in desperate need of a score with time winding down on “Monday Night Football” against the New York Giants. Fortunately, quarterback Carson Wentz was able to oblige.

Philadelphia was able to cap a 14-play 85-yard drive with a touchdown pass from Wentz to tight end Zach Ertz. Watch below.

The Eagles offense has mostly failed to get anything going against the more inspired Giants defense. Fortunately, having one of the best tight ends in the NFL paid huge dividends with the game hanging in the balance. Despite their struggles, Ertz is still in the midst of another Pro Bowl-caliber year, and he is making his presence felt on prime time.

Philadelphia is in a must-win situation if they hope to take control of the lackluster NFC East Division over the final stretch of the 2019 NFL season. At the very least, the touchdown by Wentz will allow them to try and potentially secure the win in overtime.
