While the Detroit Lions would leave the City of Brotherly Love with an upset win, that did not stop Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins from making a clutch blocked field goal with a little less than two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter of the NFC Week 3 matchup (via NFL).

The 31-year-old defensive back leapfrogged out from the corner of the trenches to sweep in and block veteran kicker Matt Prater.

The blocked field-goal attempt would make no matter, unfortunately for the Eagles. Jenkins and Philly eventually lost to the Lions by the three-point margin as it stood during Jenkins' highlight play.

A two-time Super Bowl champion, the six-foot Jenkins joined the Eagles in 2014 after five seasons to begin his professional career with the New Orleans Saints. The Ohio State product was a first-round selection by the Saints in the 2009 draft before signing with the Eagles a three-year deal in 2014. Prior to the 2016 season, Jenkins inked a four-year contract extension with the NFC East club, which would expire following the current year.
