Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising will be coming out on the Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS4, and PS5 on May 10, 2022. The game will launch on the Xbox Game Pass upon release.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is a 2.5D town-building and dungeon crawling action RPG set in the same world as Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, also serving as a prequel to the bigger title that will be coming out a little later in 2023. The game features town-upgrading mechanics, fast-paced combat, and thrilling adventure in ancient ruins. You’re tasked to rebuild a struggling town that was ravaged by an earthquake, also adventuring for treasures hidden in the neighboring Runebarrows. Serving as a prequel, the game will also feature a portion of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes’ cast of characters, including Garoo, Isha, and CJ.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising was announced during E3 2021 as a spin-off of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. The latter title itself is touted to be a Suikoden spiritual successor, a classic JRPG known for its very expansive cast of playable characters. The game is one of Kickstarter’s most successful video game projects of all time, with over $3.7 million pledged towards the project.
