Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is a 2.5D town-building and dungeon crawling action RPG set in the same world as Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, also serving as a prequel to the bigger title that will be coming out a little later in 2023. The game features town-upgrading mechanics, fast-paced combat, and thrilling adventure in ancient ruins. You're tasked to rebuild a struggling town that was ravaged by an earthquake, also adventuring for treasures hidden in the neighboring Runebarrows. Serving as a prequel, the game will also feature a portion of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes' cast of characters, including Garoo, Isha, and CJ.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising was announced during E3 2021 as a spin-off of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. The latter title itself is touted to be a Suikoden spiritual successor, a classic JRPG known for its very expansive cast of playable characters. The game is one of Kickstarter's most successful video game projects of all time, with over $3.7 million pledged towards the project.
