Season 3 of The Traitors is on the way! And this new murder-mystery season will see Britney Spears's ex, Sam Asghari, as a contestant.
TMZ reports that the actor and model were just announced for the new season of the popular Peacock show. He's one of 21 new celebrities staying in the Scottish castle where someone will get “murdered” every episode.
Alan Cumming will return as host, and he picks at least three of the contestants to be “Murderers.” Their job is to get rid of a fellow castmate in each episode. Meanwhile, there are competitions to add cash to the prize pot. Throughout it all, the Faithfuls try to figure out who the traitor is. They have a vote at the Round Table, where someone is banished and must reveal who they are: A Faithful or a Traitor. At the end of the season, whoever is left will win the prize pot. However, the Traitor will take it all if it's between Faithfuls and a Traitor.
Will Britney Spears be watching?
This all comes after the couple's divorce was finalized last month. However, though the two are unattached, they won't be legally single until later this year. So, they can't legally marry anyone else until all is said and done.
Sam seems to be doing well since the split. The Traitors is a nice gig to land, with a chance to get $250,000 in prize money if he can make it to the end. Plus, he has a role in the upcoming new film Jackpot and has starred in roles on NCIS, Special Ops: Lioness, and Dollface.
As for Spears, she's been a bit chaotic regarding her mental state and finances. Sources say she's been “completely dysfunctional” since the conservatorship ended. Reports are that she's unstable and is in danger of going broke. TMZ states she's been going to French Polynesia, staying at The Brando, and spending millions of dollars on each visit. Additionally, she likes to fly off to Hawaii monthly in a private jet and stay in a Presidential Suite at the Four Seasons. Without new music, touring, or much of anything — except her recently successful memoir — all of this might prove hard to pay for.
Hopefully, Spears will get her act together and get any help that's needed.
Who else is in The Traitors Season 3
The new season looks as treacherous as ever with a cast that includes Rob Mariano, Dorinda Medley, Chrishell Stause, Britney Haynes, Danielle Reyes, Bob the Drag Queen, Wells Adams, Chanel Ayan, Gabby Windey, Dylan Efron, Tony Vlachos, Jeremy Collins, Dolores Catania, Robyn Dixon, Bob Harper, Ciara Miller, Lord Ivar, Carolyn Wiger, Tom Sandoval, and Nikki Garcia.
There are a lot of Big Brother, Real Housewives, and Survivor alumni in the mix, so get ready for some reality drama.
There's no premiere date for The Traitors Season 3, but now that the cast has been revealed, it will soon air. If things get too rough for Britney, maybe she can apply to be on Season 4.
