Kim Kardashian was honest about what an acting coach told her regarding bringing her phone to a set. It sounds like the advice wasn't easy to follow, but probably a good idea to keep in mind while acting.

Variety recently reported that Kardashian and Chloë Sevigny chatted about fashion, what they love, and their careers' futures.

Kim Kardashian talks about advice from acting coach

The two celebs discussed working with actor Javier Bardem, and Kim asked what it was like. This led to one solid piece of advice about what NOT to bring on set.

“It's a little intimidating [working with Bardem],” Sevigny said. “Although he's more of a goofball than you might expect, he takes his craft very seriously. He's never on his phone, which is so weird. We're all in our phones all the time, and he just sits on set and communicates with people.”

“The one preparation tip that I got from an acting coach is never bring your phone on set,” Kardashian replied. “I was like, ‘Can it be in the trailer? Where does the set start?'”

The conversation takes place as Kardashian has taken up acting—a move away from the reality shows that she's known for. Her first series role was on FX's American Horror Story: Delicate, where she played a publicist with a double identity named Siobhan. Another twist to the character is that she draws her powers from Satan.

Also, she's working as an actor and producer for other scripted projects, such as an untitled legal drama for Hulu.

One person who pops up in their conversation is Ryan Murphy (co-creator of American Horror Story) and how he got her the gig.

“He came to me with an idea that was kind of reality-based, and I was into it,” Kardashian states. “And then he said, ‘I really want to write something for you. Would you consider doing American Horror Story?' I obviously know the franchise — and it was an honor. Sometimes it just takes that one person to really believe in you and give you that push.”

Also, memorabilia was a topic. The star is really into owning pieces of history with a celebrity past.

“I'm a big fan of owning memorabilia or pieces with energy from people that I love,” Kim said. “I wore Marilyn Monroe's dress once, and I just took it all in. And I actually bought a watch off Lee Radziwill — or Jackie's, but Lee had it. I would always probably just take a moment and be like, ‘This is so f—-ing cool to have her pieces!”

It sounds like Kim Kardashian's acting career is getting a lot of momentum. You can see how she does on something other than a reality show as American Horror Story: Delicate aired last fall and ran up to April after being distributed in two parts. It's available now on Hulu.

Let's hope she did not have her cell phone on set.
