It's been known for a while now that The Fantastic Four has Paul Walter Hauser on board in a character that hasn't been revealed.

He's the newest MCU actor to play in the third film of the team. And though he doesn't disclose who he's playing, the award-winning star teased (kind of) out who it might be.

Paul Walter Hauser discusses role in The Fantastic Four

In an interview with Screen Rant, the actor discussed what he might offer to the new Fantastic Four film. He was asked whether he'd be seen physically or just his voice. And his reply sheds light on it all.

“I know what that question is leading to, which is the answer as to which character I'm to play,” Hauser said. “So all I can say is that I, in some iteration, am in the movie The Fantastic Four until I get fired or recast.”

He added, “So I can't say anything about the character I'm playing, but know that it is in the sort of lexicon and mythology of The Fantastic Four stories. And it's a very distinct character that I'm excited to play and I'm kind of mapping out what I'm doing with that right now.”

Regardless of the character's identity, he has wanted to be in the MCU for quite a while now.

“I've always wanted to be a part of a cinematic universe,” the star continued. “I spent a lot of time trying to campaign to play the Penguin in the Matt Reeves film, and that of course went to Colin Farrell and he did a masterful job and it was totally different than what I was trying to do. So I really appreciate Marvel giving me the time of day and entrusting a role to me in some capacity that I get to be a part of that family. I'm really excited to partake in.”

So…who is he playing?

With the hints revealed, a few possibilities include Mole Man and H.E.R.B.I.E., a robot who works with the rest of the team. If it's H.E.R.B.I.E., he'd strictly lend his voice and personality to the character — which he'd be perfect for.

The 37-year-old actor is known for his personality-filled supporting roles. He's starred in movies such as I, Tonya, BlackkKlansman, Late Night, Da 5 Bloods, and Cruella.

Also, he's not the only actor to join who doesn't have his part revealed. John Malkovich has also joined in a role that's under wraps.

As for who else in the film and what they're playing, Games Radar reported that Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm will join the team for the new Fantastic Four movie. Additionally, Julia Garner will play Silver Surfer/Shalla-Bal, and Ralph Ineson will star as Galactus.

We'll all have to hang tight to see who Paul Walter Hauser portrays. It's cool to know he's a part of the cast regardless. More details are bound to surface soon…
