Epic is feeling more generous than usual. To celebrate the holidays, a new game in the Epic Games Store will be given away for free every day. This promotion coincides with the storefront's Holiday Sale, which begins on December 17.

15 DAYS OF FREE GAMES STARTING DECEMBER 17 IN THE EPIC GAMES STORE

Epic Games Store holds an annual holiday sale in celebration of the season of giving. Epic will offer up to 75% off on titles, including Triple-A games.

On top of the big sales offered at the store, Epic Games Store will be giving away one game for free every day from December 17 to 31. Players may claim the game for twenty-four hours for each of the games. Epic encourages gamers to add games to their wishlists now. Epic will send gamers a notification if ever the game on their wishlist goes on sale or becomes part of the giveaway.

While everyone's surely excited by this announcement, Epic hasn't revealed any game yet in the giveaway lineup. We'll have to wait for the “mystery games” to be announced on each of these days.

REDDIT LEAK FOR THE 15 FREE GAMES

Redditor r/LesterTheM0lester posted on reddit an image with fifteen games allegedly part of Epic Games Store's 15-day giveaway. The list is impressive, but we can't take everything we see in the Internet as real. Take this with a grain of salt, but if it were true, then don't miss a single day. All of these titles are actually good.

Again, these are some unverified leaks, so don't get your hopes up. We don't feel particularly confident given the leaker's user handle, but the account seems to have been around for over two years. If ever Dying Light checks out on Day 1, then we might have found the real deal. But again, don't get your hopes up. In fact, other Redditors have even called out to others not to believe this supposed leak.

UPDATE: The first game has been revealed, and it's not Dying Light. Turns out that LestertheM0lester's just trolling all of us. Well, we didn't really have our hopes up. In any case, Cities: Skylines is still a great game to pick up for free. Can't say that we're disappointed.

SANTA ALL YEAR

The Epic Games Store is known for giving away popular video games for free. Every Friday at midnight, Epic features one to two games for a full week. Gamers can add the featured games to their libraries free of charge. Gamers get to keep the titles forever, as long as they have access to the games.

Previously, Epic Games has offered Triple-A titles with this feature. Earlier this year, Epic Games Store gave away Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto 5, leading to the website crashing, similar to how Cyberpunk 2077's launch caused Steam servers download issues. Other games offered for free before include Civilization VI, Elite: Dangerous, A Total War Saga: Troy, and the Batman: Arkham Collection.

For this week's free games (December 12-18), award-winning RPGs Pillars of Eternity and Tyranny are on offer.
