Kirk Herbstreit is about to become the busiest person in the world come August. The famous ESPN analyst known for commentating on the most important college football games has made a huge move in his career. It sounds like Amazon is going to make some noise in the sporting world later in the year.

According to Football Scoop, Herbstreit is going to commentate on Thursday Night Football games for Amazon. Not only that, but he's keeping his job with ESPN. Kirk Herbstreit already works an incredibly tight schedule throughout the college football season. Now, he'll be adding even more to his plate. Here's what Peter King had to say about the news drop.

“I heard last night that Amazon—spurned by Troy Aikman, Sean McVay and John Lynch—has settled on ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit to be the analyst on its Thursday night package of NFL games starting this fall. (He’s likely to continue his current ESPN/ABC duties as well.)”

Maybe Kirk Herbstreit owns the hourglass Hermoine used in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, because how else is he going to work this schedule next football season? Between ESPN and Amazon, Herbstreit is going to be stretched thin.

If anyone can do it, it's Kirk Herbstreit. However, are there really no other analysts to choose from? Amazon was unable to hire Troy Aikman, Sean McVay, and John Lynch, but there are other options out there. Regardless, we're going to be seeing Herbstreit all over the place Thursday-Saturday and perhaps more.

At the end of the day, this is likely a smart hire for Amazon, as Herbstreit is fantastic in the booth. There's a reason why he commentates multiple games in one day for ESPN, as he is one of the best in the business. We'll see how it plays out, but this man is taking on a full haul of work in the fall.
