Thanks to Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and Phil Jackson, the Chicago Bulls won six championships during the '90s and are now one of the most recognizable sports teams in the world.

However, since the end of the Jordan era, the Bulls have only been to one Eastern Conference Finals and haven't gotten back to the Finals. Much of that has to do with the fact that Chicago's management hasn't always made the smartest transactions from the front office.

For this piece, we'll be taking a look at every trade deadline deal the Bulls have made since becoming an NBA team in 1966.

1973-74

The Bulls traded Dennis Awtrey to the New Orleans Jazz in the NBA expansion draft.

1979-80

Chicago sent Mark Landsberger to the Los Angeles Lakers for Ollie Mack, a 1980 second-round pick and a 1981 second-round pick.

1982-83

The Bulls dealt Dwight Jones to the Los Angeles Lakers for a 1985 second-round pick.

1983-84

Chicago traded Reggie Theus to the Kansas City Kings for Steve Johnson, a 1984 second-round pick, a 1985 secon-round pick and a 1985 second-round pick.

1986-87

The Bulls sent Earl Cureton to the Los Angeles Clippers for a 1989 second-round pick.

Chicago then dealt the draft pick to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Ben Poquette.

1987-88

The Bulls traded Sedale Threatt to the Seattle SuperSonics for Sam Vincent.

1992-93

Chicago sent a 2001 second-round pick to the Golden State Warriors for Ed Nealy.

1993-94

The Bulls traded Stacey King to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Luc Longley and a 1995 second-round pick.

1997-98

Chicago dealt Jason Caffey to the Golden State Warriors for David Vaughn, a 1998 second-round pick and a 2000 second-round pick.

1998-99 lockout year, first season after Jordan era ends

Though they technically weren't “deadline deals” due to the lockout, the Bulls traded Scottie Pippen to the Houston Rockets for Roy Rogers and a 200 second-round pick.

Chicago also sent a 2001 second-round pick to the Milwaukee Bucks for Andrew Lang.

The Bulls then traded Luc Longley to the Phoenix Suns for Mark Bryant, Martin Müürsepp, Bubba Wells and a first-round pick.

1999-00

Chicago dealt Toni Kukoc to the Philadelphia 76ers for Bruce Bowen.

The Bulls also acquired John Starks and a 2000 first-round pick from the Golden State Warriors.

2001-02

Chicago traded Metta World Peace, Ron Mercer, Brad Miller and Kevin Ollie to the Indiana Pacers for Travis Best, Norm Richardson, Jalen Rose and a 2002 second-round pick.

2007-08

The Bulls traded Adrian Griffin to the Seattle SuperSonics and Joe Smith and Ben Wallace to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Chicago acquired Shannon Brown, Drew Gooden, Larry Hughes and Cedric Simmons from the Cavs.

2008-09

The Bulls dealt Drew Gooden, Andrés Nocioni, Michael Ruffin and Cedric Simmons to the Sacramento Kings for Brad Miller and John Salmons.

Chicago also sent Thabo Sefolosha to the Oklahoma City Thunder for a 2009 first-round pick (Taj Gibson was later selected).

2009-10

The Bulls traded Tyrus Thomas to the Charlotte Bobcats for Acie Law, Ronald Murray and a 2014 first-round pick.

Chicago also dealt John Salmons to the Milwaukee Bucks for Joe Alexander and Hakim Warrick.

2010-11

The Bulls sent James Johnson to the Toronto Raptors for a 2011 first-round pick.

2015-16

Chicago traded Kirk Hinrich to the Atlanta Hawks for Justin Holiday.

2016-17

The Bulls sent Taj Gibson and Doug McDermott to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Joffrey Lauvergne, Anthony Morrow and Cameron Payne.

2017-18

Chicago traded Nikola Mirotic to the New Orleans Pelicans for Tony Allen, Ömer Aşık, Jameer Nelson and a 2018 first-round pick (Chandler Hutchison was later selected).

The Bulls then moved Jameer Nelson to the Detroit Pistons for Willie Reed and a 2022 second-round pick.

Chicago completed its busy 2018 trade deadline by sending Milovan Raković to the Portland Trail Blazers for Noah Vonleh and cash.

2018-19

The Bulls traded Jabari Parker, Bobby Portis and a 2023 second-round pick to the Washington Wizards for Otto Porter.
