The Grizzlies franchise has been in existence since 1995. The organization was called the Vancouver Grizzlies from 1995 to 2001 before moving to Memphis for the 2001-02 campaign.
The Grizzlies have an overall record of 824-1,161 in the regular season. The franchise has reached the postseason 10 times but never played in the NBA Finals.

1995-96
The Grizzlies traded Kenny Gattison and a 1996 second-round draft pick to the Orlando Magic for Jeff Turner.
1997-98
Vancouver dealt Chris Robinson and Otis Thorpe to the Sacramento Kings for Bobby Hurley and Michael Smith.
The Grizzlies also sent Anthony Peeler to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Doug West.
1998-99 lockout season
The Grizzlies traded Sam Mack to the Houston Rockets for Rodrick Rhodes.
2002-03
Memphis dealt Gordan Giriček and Drew Gooden to the Orlando Magic for Ryan Humphrey, Mike Miller, a 2003 first-round draft pick and a 2004 second-round draft pick.
2006-07
The Grizzlies sent Jake Tsakalidis to the Houston Rockets for Scott Padgett.
2007-08
Memphis traded franchise icon Pau Gasol and 2010 second-round draft pick to the Los Angeles Lakers for Kwame Brown, Javaris Crittenton, Marc Gasol, Aaron McKie, a 2008 first-round draft pick and a 2010 first-round pick.
The Grizzlies also dealt Stromile Swift to the New Jersey Nets for Jason Collins.
Memphis capped off the busy 2008 trade deadline by sending Sergei Lishouk to the Houston Rockets for Malick Badiane. The team also acquired Marcus Vinicius from the New Orleans Hornets.
2008-09
The Grizzlies traded a 2013 second-round draft pick to the Los Angeles Lakers for Chris Mihm. Los Angeles, however, did not receive the second-round draft pick because it was top-55 protected.
Memphis also sent Kyle Lowry to the Houston Rockets. The team received Adonal Foyle, Mike Wilks and a 2009 first-round draft pick from the Orlando Magic.
2009-10
The Grizzlies dealt a 2011 first-round draft pick to the Utah Jazz for Ronnie Brewer.

Memphis sent DeMarre Carroll, Hasheem Thabeet and a 2013 first-round draft pick to the Houston Rockets for Shane Battier and Ish Smith.
2012-13
The Grizzlies traded Ricky Sánchez to the Miami Heat for Dexter Pittman, cash and a 2013 second-round draft pick.
2015-16
Memphis dealt Courtney Lee to the Charlotte Hornets for P.J. Hairston, a 2018 second-round draft pick and a 2019 second-round draft pick.
The Grizzlies also sent Jeff Green to the Los Angeles Clippers for Lance Stephenson and a 2019 first-round draft pick.
2017-18
Memphis traded James Ennis to the Detroit Pistons for Brice Johnson and a 2022 second-round draft pick.
2018-19
The Grizzlies dealt Shelvin Mack to the Atlanta Hawks for Tyler Dorsey and JaMychal Green and Garrett Temple to the Los Angeles Clippers for Avery Bradley.
Memphis also traded Marc Gasol to the Toronto Raptors for C.J. Miles, Jonas Valančiūnas, Delon Wright and a 2024 first-round draft pick.
2019-20
The Grizzlies sent Jae Crowder, Solomon Hill and Andre Iguodala to the Miami Heat for Dion Waiters and Justise Winslow.
Memphis also traded Bruno Caboclo to the Houston Rockets for Jordan Bell and a 2023 second-round draft pick.
The Grizzlies finished the deadline by getting Gorgui Dieng from the Minnesota Timberwolves.
