Earlier in the offseason, Atlanta Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff said that one of the team's top priorities was agreeing to a new contract with wide receiver Julio Jones, but, thus far, talks on that front have been quiet.

According to Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com, there is not much going on between the Falcons and Jones at the moment.

Jones held out last summer with the hope that Atlanta would sign him to a new deal and then returned to the club after the Falcons re-arranged the payouts on Jones' current deal and promised him a new contract heading into 2019.

If no deal is reached this offseason, Jones could hold out once again.

The 30-year-old has two years remaining on his current contract and is scheduled to make $9.6 million next season and $11.4 million in 2020.

Jones is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he hauled in 113 receptions for a league-leading 1,677 yards and eight touchdowns en route to his fifth straight Pro Bowl appearance.

The Foley, Al. native, who played his collegiate football at the University of Alabama, was originally selected by the Falcons with the sixth overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft.

He had a very impressive rookie campaign, catching 54 passes for 959 yards and eight scores. The following year, Jones was a Pro Bowler after snaring 79 balls for 1,198 yards and 10 touchdowns.

In addition to his six trips to Honolulu, Jones has earned a pair of First-Team All-Pro selections and has led the NFL in receiving yards twice while pacing the league in touchdowns once.
