The Atlanta Falcons confidently signed Todd Gurley following his release from the Los Angeles Rams despite the injury concerns he possesses.

Dirk Koetter, the Falcons offensive coordinator, admits that the team doesn't know the status of Gurley's health, per ESPN's Field Yates.

Earlier this offseason, the Rams released Gurley due to his lucrative contract and the uncertainty surrounding his knee. Since Los Angeles' Super Bowl run in 2018, the new Falcons rusher hasn't been the same dynamic running back he once was.

Just last season, Gurley was limited to 254 touches for 1,064 yards from scrimmage and 14 touchdowns. The 254 touches he received in 2019 with the Rams was the lowest mark of his career since 2015. Of course, the 2015 season was the first year of his career in the NFL.

Even though the Rams refused to say his knee was the issue, it was evident that the injury was worse than fans were being led to believe. There's no reason for L.A. to lower the workload for an All-Pro running back if he's fully healthy.

Nevertheless, Gurley is starting fresh with the Falcons after spending five seasons with the Rams. However, with that being said, there's still a level of uncertainty surrounding Gurley's health.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Falcons have been unable to conduct a physical for Gurley. Despite the fact they haven't given him a physical, Atlanta chose to ink Gurley to a one-year deal.

With the circumstances of the offseason, the Falcons won't know if Gurley is alright for quite some time. While fans are excited about landing Gurley, there are still some questions pertaining to his health that need to be answered.
