The Atlanta Falcons have had their work cut out with difficult matchups to begin the 2020 NFL season. Fortunately, they wasted no time getting on the scoreboard thanks to a big play by the defense.

The Falcons were quickly able to capitalize off the fumble recovery forced by edge rusher Dante Fowler Jr. with a 22-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Matt Ryan to wide receiver Calvin Ridley, via NFL Twitter:

The Falcons wide receiver has gotten off to a stellar start to the 2020 campaign after hauling in nine receptions for 130 yards and two touchdowns in the season opener. He is now doing what he can to maintain his status as a bonafide red zone threat for Ryan with yet another touchdown in Week 2.

Atlanta's efforts on both sides of the has allowed them to dominate a formidable Cowboys team to begin.

It will be interesting to see if the Falcons can maintain their early lead.
