Daniel Ricciardo has fallen from grace. After being one of the Formula 1 drivers competing for podiums on a consistent basis a few years ago with Red Bull, he's bounced around from one team to the next without regaining his footing among the sport's elite.

He finished a disappointing eighth place last season and things just got worse this season. Ricciardo looks destined for an even worse finish this year, currently at 12th place through half the F1 season. Through 11 races last season, he had finished in the points in eight races. This season, he's only managed to score in three races.

It's no surprise that the exit rumors have been loud and rampant as his contract situation is far from ironed out another year with McLaren. But Danny Ric cleared the air on Instagram, affirming his desire to see his stint through with McLaren up to next season:

There have been a lot of rumors around my future in Formula 1, but I want you to hear it from me. I am committed to McLaren until the end of next year and am not walking away from the sport. Appreciate it hasn't always been easy, but who wants easy! I'm working my ass off with the team to make improvements and get the car right and back to the front where it belongs. I still want this more than ever. See you in Le Castellet. Daniel

There's still another half of the 2022 season to go and Daniel Ricciardo can still change the narrative. But as of right now, he doesn't want to go anywhere else.
