Francis Ngannou finds himself in a similar position as Nate Diaz when it comes to his place in the UFC. Both seemingly have one fight left on their deal before it's time to renegotiate with the promotion.

The UFC heavyweight champion recently spoke out about how he feels about Nate Diaz. Francis Ngannou gave his thoughts on a recent podcast uploaded to his YouTube channel.

“Nate Diaz? Man, I don’t know how to describe Nate Diaz. I think he’s just a psychopath, he’s just crazy. He doesn’t give a shit about anything. I love that part of him, you know, he’s just there to fight, have fun, doesn’t care if he wins or if he loses. He just wants to have fun, enjoy, and nobody would tell him what to do. He does exactly what he wants to do, and that’s it. Doesn’t care at all.”

The UFC heavyweight champion can certainly take some lessons with the way Nate Diaz deals with the UFC. The younger Diaz brother has always made things difficult during negotiations and has never been afraid to say no.

Francis Ngannou finds himself in a similar spot with the UFC as he's looking for very specific terms in his upcoming contract. These include things like fighting more often, more promotion, and being able to take boxing matches.

Francis Ngannou's next fight comes against Ciryl Gane at UFC 270 on January 22, in his first title defense. Nate Diaz currently does not have anything booked for the last fight on his contract.
