Expected to arrive with Sumeru in version 3.0, Tighnari is Genshin Impact's first Dendro 5 star character.  Let's take a look at some of his animations.

Note that the following video clips all came from unofficial sources and might not resemble Tighnari once he releases and are all subject to changes.

The clips below may also contain spoilers for future Genshin Impact content. If you're looking to pre-farm for Tighnari, or want more details about him, check out our Abilities, Talents, Constellations, and Materials article.

Tighnari Animations

For starters, here's a full showcase of how he looks like in-game.

His first idle animation is him playing with his ears, stroking and straightening them up. A small basket falls from his pocket and he briefly smells the flowers, before it turns into something that looks like a mushroom. When he runs or walks, his long ears sway accordingly, which is a nice little detail to see.

Normal Attacks

Normal Attack

  • Perform up to 4 consecutive shots with a bow.

Charged Attack

  • Perform a more precise Aimed Shot with increased DMG.
While aiming, the power of Dendro will accumulate on the arrowhead before the arrow is fired.
  • Has different effects based on how long the energy has been charged:
    • Charge Level 1: Fires off an arrow carrying the power of flora that deals Dendro DMG.
    • Charge Level 2: Fires off a Wreath Arrow that deals Dendro DMG. Upon hit, the Wreath Arrow will create 4 Clusterbloom Arrows that will track nearby opponents automatically and deal Dendro DMG.

Plunging Attack

  • Fires off a shower of arrows in mid-air before falling and striking the ground, dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

During Normal Attacks, Tighnari jumps back for each of the shots he does. His Charged Attack has two levels, and will start to flash green once past the first level. The second level, will have a faint outline of a flower and have a brighter green around it. On impact, this more powerful charged attack spawns homing arrows.

Elemental Skill

Tighnari throws a Vijnana Stormheart ahead that deals AoE Dendro DMG, creating a Vijnana-Khanda Field that creates mysterious illusions that taunt opponents and draw their fire.

Additionally, Tighnari gains the Vijnana Penetrator effect, which will decrease the next Wreath Arrow’s charging time by 1.5 seconds. This effect will dissipate once the skill duration ends or after Tighnari has fired 3 Wreath Arrows.

His Elemental Skill will spawn a circular field with a faint green sparkly mist inside of it. Three green orbs also spawn behind Tighnari, one for each stack of the buff he gains from casting it.

The “confusion” mechanic is unique to Tighnari, and here's a clip of its effects against a regular Hilichurl:

It basically causes the Hilichurl to lose aggro and attack thin air. It also works against a Hydro Abyss Herald:

A list has been provided through this Reddit thread of enemies that this confusion effect work against and those that don't get affected, and here's a quick summary.

Doesn't work against:

  • Any World or Weekly boss.
  • Any Vishap

Does work against:

  • Slimes
    • Big Slimes will use their unique attacks randomly
  • Treasure Hoarders
  • Hilichurls
  • Mitachurls
    • may dash into a random direction
  • Lavachurls
    • may use their unique abilities randomly
  • Samachurls
    • may only use attack abilities, no pillars for Cryo and Geo Samachurls
  • Abyss Mages
    • may teleport, but only within the radius of the ability
  • Abyss Heralds
  • Abyss Lectors
  • All Fatui Agents
    • The Pyro Agent dashes in random directions, and may do his powerful attack randomly.
    • Cicin Mages cannot spawn Cicin, but can still create shields.
    • Mirror Maiden can still aim her AoE attack, but doesn't create the prison and her teleport range is limited within the radius of the ability.
  • Any Ruin (Grader/Hunter/etc.)
    • Ruin Guard: cannot shoot rockets in this state. If confused during the windup of the attack, the rockets will instead shoot the ground. May use spin attack, but will move in random directions.
    • Ruin Hunter: cannot fly up
    • Ruin Grader: doesn't create energy orbs on the ground
  • Nobushi
  • Kairagi
  • Whopperflowers
  • Geovishap Hatchlings
    • may teleport outside of the radius
  • Rifthounds
  • Specters
    • ranged attacks not aimed at the player, and usually lands when attacking while confused.
  • Hydro Mimics

Some of these enemies have unique interactions with the confusion effect, such as

Elemental Burst

Combines the power of all seeds to fire 6 Tanglevine Shafts that can track opponents and deal Dendro DMG.

After they hit, the Tanglevine Shafts will create a secondary wave of Tanglevine Shafts that can also track opponents and deal Dendro DMG on hit.

For his Elemental Burst, the animation is pretty quick: it focuses on Tighnari as he draws his bow, and fires out multiple arrows imbued with powerful Dendro energy as denoted by the swirling green tails around it.
