Genshin Impact leaker Genshin Report held a Q&A on Twitter on topics fans would like to know about. He answered to the best of his ability, being upfront when he doesn't have any answers to some of the questions. Meanwhile, one of the questions asked during the Q&A was about Genshin Impact Switch Port's Release Date. According to Genshin Report, the Nintendo Switch version of the game may still come out later this year. He says that the Switch version has been delayed because of the hybrid console's weak hardware. Meanwhile, the Genshin Impact Switch Release Date may get delayed further, and may even come out for the Switch Pro instead.
The Switch Pro has been making the rounds in rumor mills for months now. The Switch successor can possibly take care of the hardware performance issues that miHoYo may have with current hardware. Meanwhile, miHoYo has not confirmed any of these rumors yet. It's also likely that miHoYo will remain silent about this until they can give an actual release date for the Genshin Impact Switch version of the game.
It's likely that there's some truth in Genshin Report's answers. Given that the game's PS4 and PS5 versions came out with no issues, it may actually be a hardware problem indeed. If that's the case, then it says a lot about the console. However, the fact that the game can run on midrange phones can be an explanation against the rumor. Other possible issues that prevent the Switch version from being released include the game's microtransactions' compatibility with the Nintendo eShop. Until then, all rumors are just speculations, and we can only wait for an official announcement.
