Lost in Random, a critical darling released late last year, will be joining the EA Play subscription service this Thursday.
This means that gamers who are subscribed to either EA Play or the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will get to try out this often-overlooked game. Lost in Random is a single-player adventure game set in a dark fairy tale world. Players find themselves in the shoes of Even, a young girl looking for her missing sister – Odd. With a heavy dose of Alice McGee's / Tim Burton's Alice vibes but less of the mental health references and more simple dark fantasy. Even traverses the lands of the wicked Queen of Random, and Even has to journey across six different realms – along with a sentient die named Dicey. Players will have to think outside the box to solve the game's many environmental puzzles and overcome the game's platforming challenges.
Article Continues BelowLost in Random captivated many critics last year, but it didn't do well as well as the publishers would have liked commercially. The game currently has a Metacritic score of 78 on PC, 80 on the PS4, 78 on the PS5, 78 on the Nintendo Switch, and 74 on the Xbox Series X. If you're subscribed to either EA Play or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you should at least try this game. Meanwhile, if you're playing on PlayStation, then you could at least check out the new Lost in Random costumes for Sackboy: A Big Adventure.
