In recent years, the Chinese region's League of Legends Pro League has taken home three World Championships. The teams Invictus Gaming, FunPlus Phoenix, and last year's EDward Gaming will be remembered in LPL history as World Champions, and the region wants to add more.

The LPL Spring 2022 Playoffs is split into two “phases.” Phase 1 consists of two King of the Hill single elimination brackets, with the winners of each bracket advancing onto the next phase. Phase 2 is currently underway, which is a double elimination bracket and scheduled to have the Finals on April 24. All matches are best of 5.

The following matches are the Upper Bracket Round 1 of the LPL Spring 2022 Playoffs, consisting of two matches. All four teams placed in the top five of the regular season, and it is not yet do-or-die for any of these as there is a lower bracket. Nonetheless, all matches were fought by the teams as if it were their last, and are still entertaining to watch.

LPL's aggressive gameplay continues on in these matches, and with both series going the distance, we get ten games of LPL madness.

An overall entertaining series with Top Esports extending the series to Game 5 after being dumpstered in the first two games. Silver Scrapes was heard and a reverse sweep was achieved against the first place team. Top Esports' carries in the mid and bot lane shone during this series, but their jungler Gao “Tian” Tian-Liang on Lee Sin stole the spotlight in Game 4:

Top Esports move on to the Upper Bracket Final, while Victory Five move down to Lower Bracket Round 1.

These two teams were evenly matched, so when viewers saw how dominating JDG were during the first two games, everyone thought it was over. However, the LPL never disappoints, and RNG brought us to Game 5 for the second time this week. The series turned tides and Royal Never Give Up lived up to their name. They mount the reverse sweep off the back of some insane team fights:

JD Gaming will meet Victory Five in the Lower Bracket Round 1 while Royal Never Give Up will face Top Esports in the Upper Bracket Final.
