The current Monkey Business banner signs with OG for the first time but the acquisition deal holds more meaning for the organization. Before OG dominated international tournaments, its original Dota 2 roster originally fought under the name “Monkey Business.” The team's owners noted the incredible coincidence surrounding its new team by stating that “sometimes the stars align and you have an opportunity to do something really interesting.”

OG co-founders and co-owners Sébastien “Ceb” Debs and Johan “N0tail” Sundstein spoke excitedly about their new acquisition. Additionally, the Dota 2  legends considered their new players as the “perfect fit” for the organization. Monkey Business enters one of the most acclaimed teams under a lot of pressure and expectations but they will have a great infrastructure supporting them.

The brand new team debuts on February 20 to 21 in the Challengers Two closed qualifier. One spot in the upcoming EU Masters event and validation hangs in the balance for the VALORANT roster. The entry of OG into the VALORANT arena cements the game's already established popularity as the next big esports title. The brand new proving ground for a new group of esports stars will undoubtedly provide its own batch of esports legends.
