League of Legends European Championship host Eefje “Sjokz” Depoortere revealed in a tweet that she will not be hosting the LEC Spring 2022 Week 3. The reasons stated were vague, but it appears that her team and Riot are working towards getting her back on broadcast.
I will not be hosting the LEC this week. My team and I have not yet found a mutually acceptable agreement with Riot. We are hopeful we can find common ground soon so I can appear back on the show.

While she refrained from sharing any details, she added that “at the end of the day, it's business. But on a personal level I was really looking forward to hosting and having a sense of normalcy return to my life. I miss you all so much and miss the LEC community.”
She soon issued a follow-up tweet that reads: “I understand that my tweet may be seen as making a play, but it isn’t. I informed Riot of my tweet before I made it as we mutually decided it would be best for me to sit out for now whilest [sic] we work on this. I know social ‘pressure’ won’t push this issue, I am simply informing.”
Sjokz has been in the League of Legends scene since 2013. She has hosted the then European League of Legends Championship Series, or EU LCS, before it renamed to LEC. Sjokz soon became a prominent name in the scene, and even won “Best Esports Host” at The Game Awards in 2019.
