T1 has set a new record in League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) after defeating Kwangdong Freecs and Brion Blade in Week 8 of 2022 Spring Split. They have beaten their own record from the 2015 Summer Split of going up 14-0 win stream when they were still under the SK Telecom T1 name. Fans and live spectators of this historic even surely would remember this going to the final week of 2022 Spring Split.

During Week 7 of the Spring Split, fans were already anticipating T1 to equalize their 2015 run. After defeating KT Rolster with a clean 2-0, T1 has nearly cemented their 1st place standing for playoffs as well as setup another record to break. They were trailed by Gen.G with a record of 11-3. The only possibility of T1 getting a second place finish at this point is if they lose their last 4 games coming to Week 8 and 9.

This Week 8, T1 won against Kwangdong Freecs (KDF) with a 2-1 victory. T1 won the first game of the series against KDF convincingly after securing Baron and Elder for their team. Game 2 on the other hand was rather questionable, pointed out by fans, as they last picked Galio over high AP champions to overpower KDF's roster full of armor building champions. Game 3 however was a delight as Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok picked Kai'sa mid, making it Faker's 71st unique pick in the LCK. T1 had an incredible start in the bot lane with Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong and Ryu “Keria” Min-seok pushing through KDF's defenses, setting the new record of 15-0.

As for their final game during Week 8 with Fredit Brion, it was unfortunate for Brion as most of their staff, even their players tested positive for Covid-19. Fredit released an announcement before the match here, translated by Korizon Esports. Fredit Brion then fielded all their LCK CL roster as well as coaching staff to participate in their match against T1. Of course, with the experience T1 has over LCK CL players, we already predicted that T1 would sweep this series convincingly with a 2-0. This made their record even higher, leading them for a full perfect run this coming Week 9.

T1 will be up against Liiv Sandbox on March 18 and DRX on the final day of LCK, March 20 to cement the first ever perfect run in LCK history. League of Legends professional scene audience would surely tune in for this historical moment if T1 wins these last 2 matches in the 2022 Spring Split.
