Likely Superstars to be part of the WWE 2K22 Roster

Most likely, we'll be seeing more roster reveals as we draw closer to the release date. However, the developers over at Visual Concepts have reportedly been having development issues no thanks to the countless releases WWE has been doing over the past months. With a lot of superstars released left and right, Visual Concepts reportedly had to scrap DLC packages, which led to rumors that WWE 2K22 will instead be a live service game with an evolving roster as WWE's landscape shifts and changes. This makes us wonder if the game will actually launch with a roster as big as the WWE 2K20 roster, which had 266 wrestlers when services went offline.

We're still positive when it comes to WWE Legends, however. We're unsure how the recent controversies surrounding Ric Flair will affect his standing in the game, most especially since he has been reported to be considering appearances in rival promotion AEW to manage former WWE superstar Andrade El Idolo. There are also WWE Legends who have asked to be released from their Legends contracts to appear in AEW. However, fans can still expect WWE Legends from the Silver Age and Golden Age of professional wrestling to make an appearance in WWE 2K22‘s roster in one form or another.

This is an evolving article. We will continue updating this page until the release of the game on March 11, 2022.
