The Jacksonville Jaguars have been having a fire sale on most of their top players for a year now. And the end result is a team with few “star” players left on the roster as we are just one week away from the start of the season.

This has a lot of people placing the Jaguars right near the bottom of the standings. However, quarterback Gardner Minshew is taking a much more positive approach to the roster.

According to Judy Battista of NFL.com, Minshew claims that there are no selfish players on the Jacksonville roster.

“The biggest thing I like about our team right now is how together we are,” he said. “We do have a lot of young guys, but it’s a young core that’s kind of banding together. I don’t think we have a lot of selfish ambitions. I don’t think we have a lot of personal agendas.”

Minshew does not see “selfish ambitions” despite the fact that this is a young team with a lot of players who have something to prove. He says they do not have “a lot of personal agendas.”

Obviously, the main takeaway here is that Minshew believes the Jaguars will be a cohesive unit. No player is going to go out there and try to steal the spotlight. Instead, they will work as a team with the goal of improving together and winning games.

So, even without the most stacked roster in the league, Jacksonville should be able to put together some competitive contests just based on the way their team is built.

It will certainly be interesting to see how the Jaguars play in 2020. They are definitely one of the younger teams and don't have much star power.

Can the team keep playing together without any “selfishness” or “agendas”? Right now, that seems to be a big selling point from the quarterback.
