Gareth Bale continues to be out of Real Madrid's plans and as a result, he's seriously considering the idea of retirement, according to Sky Sports.

However, that decision is based solely on Wales' World Cup fate as they prepare to clash with Austria in late March in the qualifying playoffs. If the side is able to book a spot in Qatar, Bale is planning to latch on with a Championship or Premier League club in the summer in order to get ready for the big shebang.

Gareth Bale has made a mere three appearances under Carlo Ancelotti this term at the Bernabeu and spent a portion of last season on loan at Tottenham. Ancelotti clearly has no intention of using the winger on any type of consistent basis as his current contract is set to expire in June.

Wales hasn't qualified for a World Cup since 1958 but Bale is determined to represent his homeland on the ultimate stage before calling it quits. If they're able to beat Austria, the Dragons will face either Ukraine or Scotland for a chance at Qatar.

Two outfits that Gareth Bale is considering as a next destination are Cardiff and Swansea, who both compete in the Championship. During his time in the Spanish capital, the 33-year-old has won four Champions League trophies and a pair of La Liga titles.
