Around the release of Genshin Impact 2.2, miHoYo dropped the teaser for one of the most interesting characters to date, Arataki Itto. A fierce-looking Geo Claymore character, Itto’s design and leaked gameplay have generated a ton of hype for himself, and it’s understandable that a lot of players are excited for his eventual release. Not much is known about Itto’s background, since he hasn’t been present anywhere in the game yet. However, multiple leaks have recently shown Itto’s stylish gameplay and impressive kit, and they all have one single point to prove–that Itto is a pretty damn cool character.

Itto Leaks Overview and Gameplay Leaks

Since the 2.3 Beta is already live for a few players and beta testers, we now have a glimpse of Itto’s skill set and animations. With this incredibly valuable information in hand, we can start to infer how his gameplay works and how he can synergize with other characters, thanks to the new leaks that players have been sharing.

Normal Attack: When his 4th attack hits opponents, Itto will gain two stacks of Superlative Superstrength, up to 5 stacks.

Charged Attack: Performs Arataki Kesagiri without using Stamina, and consumes a stack of Superlative Superstrength for every slash. This attack has massively increased damage, and deals an even more powerful slash at the end of the attack.

Elemental Skill: Itto summons a young bull to draw aggro on enemies. When it is attacked, dies, or leaves the field, it provides Itto with a stack of Superlative Superstrength.

Elemental Burst: Itto’s attack damage is converted to Geo DMG, and his ATK is increased based on his DEF. The first three attacks of his Normal string each provide Itto with a stack of Superlative Strength when it hits opponents, Additionally, Itto gains Elemental and Physical resistance.

Talent 1: Each consecutive slash of Arataki Kesagiri provides 10% more ATK SPD, up to 30%. Additionally, it greatly increases Itto’s resistance to interruption.

Talent 2: Arataki Kesagiri’s damage is increased by 35% of Arataki Itto’s DEF.

Itto’s kit suggests a self-reliant Main DPS play style, and can greatly benefit from Geo support characters. He plays exactly like Noelle, who relies on dealing Normal and Charged Attack damage, and having an Elemental Burst that buffs damage and converts it into Geo DMG. Itto’s Burst doesn’t last as long as Noelle’s, but his massive Arataki Kesagiri damage multipliers make up for the relatively short Burst duration.

Itto’s constellations are not that impressive, however, with the exception of C6. C1 only provides faster stacking of Superlative Superstrength. C2 is very useful on a full Geo team, which appears to be the lineup of Itto, Albedo, Zhongli, and Gorou. C4 is a straight up 25% Crit Rate increase during his burst, assuming you can keep Itto’s HP high. C6 is the dealbreaker, and propels him to the top of the damage charts, thanks to the increased Crit DMG, and having twice as much Superlative stacks.

Itto Ascension Materials and Details

Itto ascension and talent farming materials from Genshin_Impact_Leaks

Almost all of Itto’s ascension materials can be pre-farmed long before his actual release, which is a sigh of relief for players who are planning to wish for him. In the case of Ayaka and Raiden Shogun, leveling them was quite a pain, since the key materials for their Ascension only came along with the new content in their patch.

The only material that’s not yet farmable for Itto is one of his level ascension materials, which is from a world boss slated to come out in Version 2.3. Onikabuto can be easily found throughout Inazuma, with abundant numbers. His main ascension materials for levels and talents are the Slime Condensates, which most–if not all–players have an immense surplus of. The other materials are shown in the infographic shown above, and are easily farmable at the moment.

Please take this info with a grain of salt, since it is the nature of leaks to be not 100% accurate. However, leaks like these are generally considered as reliable, and only minor changes can happen due to the beta testing.
