Comedian George Lopez upset fans on Friday when he stormed off stage at the Eagle Mountain Casino in California. A new video sheds light on why it happened, showing him warning the crowd to stop interrupting, or he was outta there.

TMZ released the clip of the star before he walked off stage. It seemed he got pressed to the limit from hecklers…and that was it.

George Lopez walks off stage

In the clip, he jokes about weed, anxiety, and depression. Then, there was a disruption from the audience that didn’t land well with the comedian. Some heckler shouted something, and he looked in that direction and said, “That’s one.”

It upset him, as his demeanor changed quite a bit after that. From there, he tried to continue the marijuana gag but also announced, “That’s two.”

A heckler shouts out something about “three” and buys him a drink; he then starts saying, “I seem like an asshole? I’m the one working!”

The sold-out audience starts yelling back at him, and he says, “So, listen…Just f—-n watch the show. Don’t even talk back….Just relax, man. Seriously.”

Then, the audience shouted some more things out, and he said something like, “You know what, man…” and walked off stage.

It brought on a lot of boos, and people were obviously not happy that he brought his comedy set to a close.

The 63-year-old’s departure meant the show was cut short. It was supposed to have at least 30 more minutes of laughs. But, yeah, that didn’t happen.

Casino issued an apology after George Lopez walked out early

This firestorm of comedy left the casino hanging high and dry, so they apologized on Facebook about the incident on Friday night.

“Tonight George Lopez let down his fans and sold out audience by walking out and ending his show 30 minutes early,” it reads. “George hired his own private security that could have easily escorted any hecklers out.”

It added, “We had a pre-show meeting to have a plan in place for hecklers. He could have provided us an opportunity to allow our security and team to escort any hecklers out since his own private security did not. George decided to not continue with the show and leave. He rescheduled his initial show on 4/20 due to a medical emergency and we were very patient with him and only wished him the best. Tonight we went above and beyond to provide George with first class service from his arrival to the property to the start of his show. We never want to let our guests down, and we are as disappointed and shocked as you are. Stay tuned Monday for an official statement.”

In response, Lopez’s team said to TMZ, “It’s the venue or casino’s job to provide a good experience for both the artist and the fans, but the casino failed in this regard. The audience was overserved and unruly, and the casino staff was unable to provide and safe and enjoyable experience for the artist and guests.”

Additionally, the statement continued, “George’s personal security team worked with the venue security staff to maintain order, ensure safety, and eject disruptive individuals. Unfortunately, the casino security team was not adequate to accomplish this task. George is not obligated to perform in an unsafe environment. He feels badly that those who came to see the show were unable to do so as a result.”

With all of the drama surrounding the incident, it’s doubtful we’ll see George Lopez back at that casino anytime soon since it was no laughing matter for him. We’ll see if another statement comes from Eagle Mountain today, as this is still unfolding.
