New York Giants WR Darius Slayton just made himself an instant meme after dropping a perfect pass from Daniel Jones late in their game against Washington Football Team. To make matters even worse, the Giants ended up losing an absolute thriller against the home squad after Washington kicker Dustin Hopkins converted a 43-yeard field goal in the final seconds of the game giving Washington a 30-29 win.

Here's Slayton's epic drop in the six-minute mark which would've given the Giants a potential double-digit lead halfway through the fourth:

Obviously, Giants Twitter had a field day roasting the WR after Slayton was just inches away from catching what would've been his second TD of the evening. Instead, Slayton's buttery fingers now put the team's record to 0-2 while everyone on social media trolls him and his Giants after another heartbreaking loss.

There were also a couple of videos that perfectly summed up New York Giants fans' Thursday evening:

Out of all the reactions on Twitter, this has got to be my personal favorite. Kudos to you, Jonny Lazarus:

In Slayton's defense, there were some fans that were trying to point out that Jones actually overthrew the pass. Although one can definitely go that route, it's hard to put the blame on the Giants QB after he threw that pass under pressure and still managed to locate Slayton who was all alone as he approached the end zone.

Others are saying that a late-game penalty was to blame to try and deflect all the hate that is coming Slayton's way, which is again a valid point. But, we do have to reiterate that this was such a makeable play and a WR of Darius Slayton's caliber is expected to convert on a huge play like this.
