Aside from losing games, New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo is also rumored to be losing the confidence of his players.

With the Giants piling up on losses, their tumultuous season has seemingly affected their relationship in the locker room.

First there was the suspension handed by the team to veteran cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie after their loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 5 for throwing a tantrum on the sidelines. The latest player to be suspended by the team was another cornerback. This time it was Janoris Jenkins, who failed to not report on time after the bye week.

None of these suspensions, however, deter McAdoo from completely believing that he’s still in command of his men.

According to Jordan Raanan of ESPN, McAdoo could care less about how his players view him so long as he knows he’s doing his job to keep his players committed to doing theirs.

“I'm not concerned about perception,” McAdoo said of the idea he has lost the respect of his players. “I'm concerned about reality. To turn your cheek to something that needs to be handled for disciplinary reasons because you're worried about perception isn't a smart thing to do. So I'm not concerned about perception.”

A 1-6 record through the first eight weeks of the season doesn’t exactly exemplify what McAdoo just said. Barely anyone on the Giants seems to be doing his work correctly. New York’s offense is third worst in the league in scoring and its defense is among the poorest overall.

With how things are going for the Giants, they are not going to make the playoffs. It’s hard for an NFL team to lay down its arms and accept their fate, but in the case of the Giants, it gets even harder as they scarcely have any weapons to put down, with Odell Beckham Jr. and Brandon Marshall already out for the season.

The last thing a struggling team like the Giants need is a locker room implosion and hopefully for them, McAdoo will make sure they’re still going to play as one team moving forward regardless of their games’ outcomes.
