The New York Giants haven't had much good news surrounding their organization lately. Not only did the Giants lose to the division-rival Dallas Cowboys in Week 15, but they also recently received news that their franchise quarterback Daniel Jones was going to miss the rest of the 2021 season with his neck injury. Jones spoke to reporters about his neck injury and his future with the Giants on Wednesday.

That's an interesting tidbit from Daniel Jones on his neck injury. Jones is not only confident that his neck injury is going to heal but also feels that he would have had a good chance of returning if he and the Giants had had more time.

Perhaps the most foreboding part of this statement is the fact that Jones leaves things open to the possibility that his neck injury wouldn't have healed completely. Fortunately for he and the Giants, that isn't the case.

Jones was then asked by reporters about his future with the Giants, to which he danced around, per ESPN's Jordan Raanan. The Duke product noted that he has spoken with head coach Joe Judge about things that he can do better.

New York certainly expects better things from Jones, the former sixth overall pick in the 2019 draft. The 24-year-old has shown both flashes of brilliance and disaster in three seasons as the Giants quarterback, throwing for 45 touchdowns and 29 interceptions while completing 62.8 percent of his passes.

Neither Jones nor the Giants are biting on questions about the quarterback's future with the organization. New York's path to evaluating Jones' future also took a hit due to the injury, making it hard to judge whether he really is their future.

It will be interesting to see if the Giants opt to stick with Daniel Jones next year or swing for the fences at quarterback.
