Former New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo was pretty quiet the months following his firing, but as training camp drew closer, he had some pretty negative comments to say about the team, especially about tackle Ereck Flowers. McAdoo said Flowers couldn't bend and he doesn't think the switch from left tackle to right tackle will help him at all, defenses will still get around him.

Flowers heard the comments of his old coach but isn't too concerned about them. The one thing he wonders is why he wouldn't make those type of comments when he was still the head coach of the Giants.

“Anything he had to say to me, he could have said it when he was here with me,” Flowers said, via Matt Lombardo of NJ.com. “Anything that he has to say now, I really don’t care about. I’m here right now, going into the season just focused on what’s ahead of us.”

There were some questions if Flowers would be okay with switching to the right side after the Giants signed Nate Solder but after skipping some offseason training Flowers is working hard to learn the new position.

“When you move over you kind of have to switch everything,” Flowers said. “Your muscle memory, a lot of different things. It’s going pretty well though I have gotten a lot better at it since I first started.”

If the offense is going to have success, it hinges on how well Flowers and the rest of the offensive line perform, so the Giants are hoping it's a smooth transition.
