Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey is back at it again. Upon getting whiff of the news that the New York Giants have signed star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to a five-year $95 million extension deal, Ramsey picked up his phone and added hype to his upcoming matchup with the wideout in Week 1 of the upcoming regular season.

Beckham’s new contract comes with $65 million worth of guaranteed money which is now the biggest ever for a wide receiver. It’s a fun time to be Odell Beckham Jr., but Ramsey is keen on spoiling Beckham and the Giants’ season debut when the Jaguars pay East Rutherford a visit.

One thing about Ramsey is that he’s not just a random cornerback who likes to run his mouth. He is a bona fide secondary lockdown artist who is given an elite status by Pro Football Focus. Last season, Ramsey played 16 games and recorded four interceptions to go with 52 tackles on his way to his first Pro Bowl appearance.

This isn’t the first time that Ramsey talked about Beckham and the Giants this offseason.

Late last month, he called Beckham a “good receiver,” but also said he’s the best cornerback in the game while promoting Jacksonville’s season opener against New York.

The Giants and the Jaguars are coming off opposite outcomes in 2016. While New York underperformed and finished with a poor 3-13 record, Jacksonville surpassed expectations by reaching the AFC Championship Game.
