Kenny Golladay has yet to play a single regular-season game for the New York Giants, but he’s already given them a mini-heart attack. The hulking wide receiver has reportedly suffered a hamstring injury during Tuesday’s practice, one that will sideline him for at least a few weeks, according to NY Daily News' Pat Leonard

NEWS: “The expectation after Kenny Golladay’s doctor visit is that he’ll probably miss 2-3 weeks due to his hamstring pull, per source. Prudent for Giants to be cautious.”

The hope for the Giants is that Golladay’s injury is not something that would affect his availability and performance on the field once the 2021 NFL season kicks in. Golladay is an exceptional wideout who’s got a terrifying blend of size and skill but has somewhat of a reputation for being prone to injuries.

Golladay has played a full season just once in his NFL career, so far. In his rookie year with the Detroit Lions, he appeared in just 11 games. Last season, he managed to suit up for just five games, as he had to deal with a hip injury. Despite that, the Giants are banking heavily on Golladay to help lift the team’s passing attack that was just 29th in 2020 in passing yards per game and 29th in pass completion.

Together with running back Saquon Barkley, Golladay will be expected to deliver the goods for the Giants’ offense and provide support for Daniel Jones.
