Even with New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley having an exceptional year most of the talk around New York was if the Giants should have taken New York Jets quarterback, Sam Darnold.

Barkley was appearing on the Rapsheet and Friends Podcast and was asked about how fans who think the Giants should have taken a quarterback and he gave a surprising answer saying the people who think that aren't wrong.

“I know everyone is saying a quarterback should have been taken before me,” Barkley said on the Rapsheet & Friends podcast on Westwood One via the New York Daily News. “And you know, they’re not wrong. That’s their opinion. They can have their opinion. But some people believe I should have been taken at that pick. And they’re not wrong, either. They can have that opinion.”

“But at the end of the day … ” Barkley continued, “I got to go out there and try to have success the (best) way that I can … not to prove anybody else right or wrong.”

It is interesting that the star running back is admitting that some other people might be right and even with how good Barkley has been there is no doubt people are going to question.

Even with how good Barkley was, there is still a big question about what the Giants are going to do at quarterback, and without a quarterback, it doesn't matter how well Barkley performs, this team isn't going to get back to being competitive.
