New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley knows the pressure of being a top draft pick in New York so he knows what Daniel Jones is dealing with. Barkley said he was one of the first players to reach out to Jones after he was drafted by the Giants and had a very simple message for him, don't worry about the outside noise.

Barkley knows that everyone outside the team is going to go talk about what Jones needs to prove but the only people he needs to prove anything to is everyone inside the locker room.

“I got to talk to Daniel Jones before the draft process and before the Combine,” Barkley told Newsday after a Giants OTA practice this week. “And then when they drafted him, obviously everyone knew we would probably address the quarterback situation this year, so I was happy for him.

“The first thing I said to him was: ‘Everyone is going to say what they want to say, you just come in here and be ready to work. You don’t have to prove anybody wrong, the only people you have to prove yourself to is the people in this locker room. I’m excited for him. He’s doing a great job out here.”

The media has said a lot about Jones but everything coming out of the locker room is that Jones is a hard worker and is winning over his teammates.

That's what is most important for Jones and his teammates with the Giants who hope that this can be their quarterback of the future.
