The Kansas City Chiefs found another win to improve to 11-1 on the season after edging out the Denver Broncos in a tough AFC West affair. While Pat Mahomes has set the NFL on fire, there is a glaring weakness that this offense is dealing with so far this season.

On the daily Locked On Chiefs podcast, Ryan Tracy and Chris Clark discussed the Chefs’ latest win. They were joined by Matt Derrick to discuss the issues that have come up within the Kansas City offense. The guys discuss the points left on the field against the Broncos:

Derrick: Once again, they had way too many trips into the red zone that they did not cash in on. They left points on the field, and I get that everyone knocks Andy Reid saying that he gets too cute in the red zone, but like we have been talking about throughout this season, I think that the fact that the Chiefs continue to go creative and try to do things differently in the red zone, especially in goal-line situations, is a fantastic acknowledgment from Andy Reid that he knows that he just does not have the team that’s built to go one yard and a cloud of dust at any moment that they want to. They have got an athletic offensive line that’s designed to do what they do. The trade-off with that is if you’re going to have an offensive line like that, you are going to have an offensive line that just cannot man up and get you a yard anytime that you want it.
